• National Accordion Association (formerly the Texas Accordion Association) - Dallas TX March  14, 2009. The oldest and largest active accordion association in the United States.  We are honored to be a part of this year's celebration and festival as ATG U.S. Duet Champions and also as part of the Gene Van Accordion Orchestra and Entertainment Showcase.  Please join us for this exciting event as Gene Van and other members of our Indiana accordion family make the "Texas Connection".

• Fun mini-concert for the Dallas chapter of the national accordion association.  Below is our first attempt at putting a video on YouTube.

• Altrusa’s Dessert First™ event Thursday, October 2 at the Dallas Contemporary, 2801 Swiss Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75204 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. An altruistic reason to eat Dessert First™ and enjoy champagne, chocolate and art while meeting world-renowned fashion designer Michael Faircloth!
  
  For the past 25 years, the members of the Altrusa International, Inc. of Downtown Dallas have raised more than $565,000 to support Dallas-area charities; in addition our members have given more than 55,000 hours of their time to local community service.

• Benefit Concert for Sophie Asmussen.  Leading a group of performers, 2Accordions held a benefit concert to help raise money for a family trying to combat a brain tumor in their five year old daughter.  www.pennies4sophie.com  All proceeds from the sale of the DVD and concert tickets was donated to the fund.  In this concert, 2Accordions became 4Accordions and 1 Drummer with the special surprise addition of 2 members of the Gene Van Accordion Symphony, John Kovach and Barbara Hums...much to the delight of the crowd!  For information or to purchase a DVD of the concert, please send us an email.

• 50th Reunion Anniversary Concert, "One Voice" South Bend Indiana on the occasion of Gene Van's Golden Anniversary of Teaching Accordion.  It was our special privilege to reunite with friends we've not seen in over thirty years and play once again for our teacher in this special concert benefiting autism.  For more pictures or information regarding this event, please visit the Gene Van Accordion web site.

• April In Paris!  No. 1 Rise Dallas TX.  A weekend where Paris comes to Dallas!  Located in Inwood Village, this wonderful French Soufflé Restaurant has a uniquely French atmosphere and wonderful food and wine.  Check out No. 1 Rise for your touch of Paris.

• Dallas Wind Symphony  "Mackey's Back" at the  Mort Meyerson Concert Hall, Dallas Texas.  Jessica Faltot is featured in well known contemporary composer John Mackey's "Sasparilla" with the Dallas Wind Symphony.  What a special moment it was playing at the famous Mort Meyerson Symphony Hall with such an incredible group of musicians! If you've not followed the Dallas Wind Symphony, you are really missing an exceptional concert!  You can check their latest concert schedule at www.dws.org  

• It's beginning to get busy.  We're coming out of October seriously practicing for our upcoming concert at CrossRoads Coffeehouse and Music Company.  We're excited after having sold out (do you believe it!! Accordions - who knew!) at our first performance.  We WILL sell out again - because this part of Texas loves great music and appreciates the diversity of talented folks.  November 10th - please mark your calendars.  Tickets can be purchased in advanced: (903) 342-1854.

• A very special engagement for us: We have been asked back to entertain a great group of folks who devote a great deal of time to traveling the country in their motor homes to help other people in need.  Andy and Adrian have no idea what is in store for them when they ask us to be the entertainment.  We are actually working towards putting together a program.  Requests?
• Rebecca is pursuing the piano and can now be heard with great regularity at LouViney's Winery in Winnsboro on Saturday evenings. If you're lucky, you may even catch Jessica coming in to play a set and give Rebecca a chance to catch her breathe.

• May 2nd: The Eiseman Center for the Performing Arts, Richardson Texas: Guest Performer with the Texas A&M Commerce: Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Jeffery Gershman: John Mackey's  Sasparilla.
